COMBAT MANUAL // 002

Win the turn before you win the war.

Combat is direct and turn based. Read the battlefield, move the squad into useful positions and spend each action where it creates the biggest advantage.

Read the field

Before committing to an attack, check lines of fire, enemy groups and the safe routes around cover. Movement is not downtime: where a fighter ends a turn determines what the enemy can punish next.

Build combinations

The squad can use abilities, explosives, melee and ranged weapons. A strong turn is rarely just one shot; it is a sequence that opens an angle, weakens a target and lets another fighter finish the job.

Know when to stop pushing

Because developed fighters are valuable, the best tactical choice is not always maximum damage. Sometimes the right move is to hold a position, preserve the squad and finish the objective without turning a risky mission into a permanent loss.

Use heavier tools

Combat robots expand the available firepower and create a different kind of threat on the battlefield. They are part of the game’s toolkit alongside conventional weapons and character abilities.
